Current cooking methods cause serious health effects and even premature deaths
In Tanzania 33,024 people die every year prematurely due to negative health effects of indoor air pollution caused by open fires in homes. Women and children bear a greater burden of this disease as they are more exposed to poorly ventilated cooking spaces. Clean cooking technologies with chimneys have been shown to be an important preventative intervention to address this health challenge.
The Marian Stove is an effective chimney stove that is designed and fabricated in Tanzania that aims to offer the people of the Rukwa region a solution to their health challenges due to unclean air.
